“Stormed” passed Lavrio at 100 mph

Olympiacos ‘stormed’ passed Lavrio at the SEF 101-58 for the 15th day of the Stoiximan Basket League.

Relying on Livio Jean-Charles, the ‘reds’ got a +8 lead (13-5) and without ‘speeding up’ they closed the first quarter at +5 (20-15). In the beginning of the 2nd quarter, Michalis Lountzis and Tyler Dorsey struck from the 6.75m (26-18 at 12’), however, Olympiacos ‘paid’ a price for his poor defensive performance and saw Lavrio getting ahead for the first time at 15’ (28-29).

The guests found themselves even at +4 (36-40 at 18’), but a 5-0 streak with Lountzis and Larentzakis  allowed our team to close the first half leading by one (41-40).

A quarter though was enough for the outlook of the game to completely change… Moustapha Fall got on the floor for the first time in the 3rd quarter and together with Sloukas, Vezenkov and McKissic completely dominated the court… They did not allow Lavrio to score more than 6p. and skyrocketed the difference to +24 (70-46 at 30’).

From there on, and regardless of the different lineups Giorgos Bartzokas got to try, Olympiacos did not simply maintain the distance, but rather increased it even further. The greatest one being the 43 points of the final score (101-58).

The quarters: 20-15, 41-40, 70-46, 101-58.
