A new hangout spot, the same Legendary spirit! (Pics + Video)

The House of Legend has officially opened its doors, and today was a truly special day!

At a wonderful red-and-white celebration, Olympiacos fans gathered to get closer to the team and enjoy unique moments in a venue dedicated to the club’s history and greatness.

The entire Olympiacos basketball team was in attendance, making the House of Legend’s opening even more special!

A new meeting point for everyone who lives and breathes for the Legend!

Olympiacos BC General Manager Nikos Lepeniotis said: “We are very happy to be opening this store. I think there are very few teams in European basketball that have stores outside their arenas. In the past, we also had stores in Athens and Piraeus with the previous company we worked with. But, overall, we are delighted that such a major company as Nike has returned to Olympiacos. Let me remind you that we won our first European title in 1997 wearing Nike jerseys, and this year marks 30 years since that achievement. So, you could say it is quite symbolic…”

Olympiacos head coach Georgios Bartzokas stated: “First of all, I would like to wish them every success. The store is fantastic, both in terms of its design and layout, as far as my limited knowledge of interior design allows me to judge, and its contents. The products are very good, and the store is located in a very central part of Piraeus. Usually, these stores do well when the team is doing well; the two go hand in hand. Therefore, I hope things go well, that we enjoy success as a club, and that the people here achieve what they envisioned when setting up this store and fulfil their ambitions for it.”

Team captain Kostas Papanikolaou commented: “We have plenty of distinguished people here. We have an MVP, we have the top rebounder, we have the Rising Star, we have the ‘ole, ole, ole’ (i.e. characteristic fans chanting), and we have all sorts of people! Hopefully, the store will do well, and I wish them a great start. The products are excellent; they are the closest thing to what we wear ourselves. Actually, they have things here that even we don’t wear, so maybe we’ll pick something up before we leave! May both the team and the store continue to grow together, creating wonderful memories.”

Finally, Evan Fournier revealed: “It’s good for basketball, the team, and the fans to have a place where people can buy merchandise. I would buy a Papanikolaou jersey for a friend of mine. He is the symbol of the team, the captain, and the most important player.”
