We understand the obsession of Panathinaikos BC and its owner with Olympiacos and its members, but perhaps, in between drafting your complaints, you could find some time to inform your supporters about something genuinely important concerning the health and career of one of your own players.

Several months have passed since then, but your hatred of Olympiacos and its Presidents seems to have affected not only your judgment, but your memory as well.

Olympiacos BC is informing the sporting public today about what happened last November regarding the health of basketball player Mathias Lessort and the surgery he underwent under the care of renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Niek van Dijk, a close associate of our club and the personal physician of Mr. Giorgos Angelopoulos.

Panathinaikos BC, together with the French center and his representative, approached Dutch professor Dr. Niek van Dijk to address the player's medical condition. They were informed by him that, in Greece, he has an exclusive partnership with Olympiacos and that he could only treat Mathias Lessort with special permission. The President of Panathinaikos BC contacted the Vice President of Olympiacos BC and requested our permission, while the player's representative did the same. Mr. Giorgos Angelopoulos immediately gave his approval and personally contacted Dr. Van Dijk to inform him accordingly.

For us, the health of an athlete, and indeed that of every fellow human being, both physical and mental, is non-negotiable.

Given the ample time you seem to have to draft unfounded complaints, you could perhaps have found the time to write a brief message of thanks for such a serious and sensitive matter.
