It is with great surprise that we read yesterday (27/09) a report stating that our former player and now of Panathinaikos, Moustapha Fall, has falsely stated on official record addressed to a public authority that he will be playing for the Greek National Team, in order to expedite the procedure for acquiring a Greek passport.

The same report informs that after his petition, the General Secretariat for Citizenship issued a 'photographic' edict to facilitate him and they immediately drafted a favorable recommendation without properly examining facts, as they ought to do.

Was the Hellenic Basketball Federation advised before the recommendation in favor was issued?

How was suddenly decided for the said edict by the General Secretariat for Citizenship, creating a new photographic edict for the player of Panathinaikos?

Competent authorities should immediately explain the situation so that no shadows are looming over this.
