Season finale for Olympiacos’ OneTeam Program with the presence of Vezenkov and Larentzakis

This year’s sports and school season came to a successful close for the ONE TEAM program, as European and Greek champions Sasha Vezenkov and Giannoulis Larentzakis visited the 22nd Primary School of Piraeus to bid farewell to the 6th-grade students preparing to take the next step into middle school and to reflect on all the moments they shared throughout the year.

The Olympiacos players and OneTeam ambassadors delivered a special message to the children as they embark on their new educational journey: discipline, effort, and a smile every step of the way.

The students gave the Olympiacos stars an impressive welcome, with the club’s anthem echoing throughout the school grounds and excitement filling the atmosphere from the very first moments of the visit.

The two athletes spoke with the children and the school principal, sharing experiences from their own sporting careers and promising that Olympiacos would continue to stand by their side. The students were then divided into teams and took part in skill and shooting competitions, filling the schoolyard with laughter, enthusiasm, and memorable moments. The day concluded with photographs, autographs, and countless memories that will stay with them for years to come.

 

In an atmosphere of joy for the beginning of summer, but also emotion for all the unique moments experienced together throughout the year, OneTeam concluded its annual activities by conveying important life lessons to the children as they prepare for the transition to the next stage of their education.

 

The teenagers of tomorrow were encouraged to embrace the values of teamwork, respect, and continuous effort. They were urged to remain committed to their goals with discipline and perseverance, just as athletes do on their path to the top. They were also advised to choose the people they surround themselves with carefully, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions that protect both themselves and those around them.

 

At the same time, they were encouraged to face every challenge with optimism, learn from every experience, and continually develop their minds and character, as knowledge is the most valuable asset for the future.

 

Above all, however, the day’s most important message was simple: never stop smiling and always preserve the authenticity, innocence, and strength that characterize every child.

 

As every year, Olympiacos BC made a symbolic donation to the program’s partner organization. This year, the club had the pleasure of upgrading the sports facilities in the yard of the 22nd Primary School of Piraeus, leaving behind a project that future generations of students will also enjoy.

 

Specifically, in the school’s basketball area, protective safety padding was installed on all poles, a new suspended basketball hoop was added, and two foldable school football goals were provided.

 

OneTeam and the entire Olympiacos family wish all children a wonderful summer, a restful holiday period, and a creative new school year in middle school, filled with dreams, knowledge, and meaningful experiences.
