Bartzokas: «We entered the game with the wrong mentality»

Giorgos Bartzokas commented the following in the post press following our team's loss to Monaco in the Principality.

«First of all, congrats to Monaco. They played with passion, and strength that was borderline fouling, showing they really wanted to win. From our perpective, I'm responsible because I did not manage to convince my players that all those rumors about players not coming to play and players indifferent to the game were false. We had the wrong approac to the game. We entered it with the wrong mentality. It was the first time this season we had 10 assists for 15 turnovers. With such numbers, it was impossible to have a winning streak, despite having the chance to do that at the end. Two times we had to foul, because they weren't in the bonus zone. Yet, we allowed for lay-ups, missed free throws with players that usually make them, like Milutinov and Peters at the end. Strazel's last possession was decisive. We must not forget what happened, but rather look at what went wrong tonight and play much better in the next game».
