Following the decision made by Olympiacos head coach Dusan Ivkovic, Giannis Bourousis will be on leave of absence for one month. In the meantime, he will be following a no physical contact personal training program.

A winner in Valencia as well...
Olympiacos doubled his victories against Valencia and now has the upper hand as far as qualification to the Euroleague play-offs is concerned. The “reds” under Dusan Ivkovic played superbly in Spain and put the foundations for the victory at the exact right moment (79-85).

A tornado in Glyfada...
Playing great basketball and remaining absolutely focused from the beginning to the end, the “reds” shattered Ikaros Kallithea 56 – 102 in the Glyfada gym.

And now the final...
Without Teodosic and Gordon, Olympiacos had no problem making 3-0 beating Aris with ease once again.

The diagnosis on Vassilopoulos
Olympiacos BC announces that the team doctor’s diagnosis on the injury of Panagiotis Vassilopoulos in his right knee is the following: Total rupture of the anterior crisscross and rupture of the outside meniscus. The recovery time is estimated from six to nine months’ time.

Raso completes the starting five...
The Nesterovic family complete their starting five. On Monday morning, February the 7th, 2011, Raso Nesterovic became a father for the third time.

A victory and a new record...
With the captain Teo Papaloukas the best player of the game and also great games by Bourousis, Nesterovic and Gordon, Olympiacos edged Valencia 77-62 and attained an important advantage in case of a tie with the Spaniards.

First victory for the TOP-16
Olympiacos won his first game for the Euroleague TOP-16 edging Zalgiris in Kaunas 71 – 64. Dusan Ivkovic’ “reds” played exquisite defense in the first half of the game and led by 24. Α left foot beginning...
Before the TOP-16 Premiere, Dusan Ivkovic kept saying that the game against Fenerbahce/Ulker would be the most difficult one up to now for Olympiacos and his was proven right. The “reds” were bad against the Turks and were edged 84-70.

Undefeated at the top
The curtain of the league first round went down with Olympiacos being the unofficial winter champion, since being the only undefeated team at the top of the ranking. The “reds” had another quiet afternoon against Iraklis and got the victory with an 88-58 score having a 13/13 record.

Final rehearsal...
Olympiacos made 11/11 and keeps going on. With Giannis Bourousis as his top player, who has come back after his lower back injury and Panagiotis Vassilopoulos stepping on the court for a game after seven months and one day, the “reds” edged Kavala 81 -60.

The first step…
Before the Final Four, there is the Greek League and the semi finals against Aris. Olympiacos is leading 1-0 after the first game of the series, having won 75-63 and the two teams are meeting again in Thessaloniki on Monday (18.45).

A Christmas fest at the Peace and Friendship Stadium!
Olympiacos BC will be organizing a great fest for all kids and the young Olympiacos fans, that want to come to the gym and admire their idols up close, during the last game of the Euroleague Regular Season against Roma, on Thursday, December 23, 2010!

An easy walk...
The “reds” played a tight and focused game against Panionios and when that happens then they have no problems against any rival. Olympiacos made a healthy walk against the Nea Smirni team as the final 82-63 proves.

Young and older...kids celebrated in the Peace and Friendship Stadium!
A special party took place in the morning of Saturday (18/12/2010) at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. A party with many guests, young and old, as well as Dusan Ivkovic and his players.

With ease at Ilisia...
Without Kostas Papanikolaou (he suffers from a muscle pull) and Milos Teodosic (he didn’t play for precautionary reasons), Olympiacos had no problem reaching victory against Ilisiakos.

One victory away from the first place...
The “reds” did their duty in Belgium and easily edged Charleroi 80-67 remaining at the top of their group. Now, Dusan Ivkovic’ team only needs a victory at the last game against Roma in the Peace and Friendship Stadium to finish at the top spot of the B’ group.
