One win away from the title!

Olympiacos bested Panathinaikos 102-92 in Game 4 of the Finals and took a 2-1 lead in the series.

Evan Fournier was the undisputed star for the Red & Whites, who scored 28 points, including 6 threes, and dished out 8 assists. Sasha Vezenkov followed close behind with 24 points, while Nikola Milutinov was also outstanding, finishing with 17 points on a perfect 8/8 shooting from the 2-point range, along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Giorgios Bartzokas started the game with Walkup, Fournier, Ward, Vezenkov, and Milutinov. Unlike the first two games of the series, Olympiacos came out shooting well from beyond the arc, with Vezenkov, Fournier, and Walkup hitting early 3-pointers to give the team a 13-11 lead midway through the opening quarter.

The French guard became the first player to reach double figures, scoring his 10th point with a pull-up three at the 7:30'' mark. Olympiacos extended the lead to 9p. (27-18), but Rogkavopoulos hit a buzzer-beating three to cut the deficit to 27-21 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Olympiacos' offense slowed considerably, managing only 4 points in the opening 4 minutes. The second unit failed to provide the expected spark, but the return of Fournier and Vezenkov on the floor restored the team's scoring punch and momentum.

With both players contributing 12 points each, Olympiacos entered halftime holding a narrow 47-45 advantage.

At the start of the second half, it was Tyson Ward's turn to step up. The American forward was exceptional on both ends of the court during the first half of the third quarter and had accumulated 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists by 25'. The third quarter featured several momentum swings, but Olympiacos, powered by the Fournier - Vezenkov duo, had the final say. The Red & Whites built an 8-point lead (70-62), with the EuroLeague MVP and the Final Four MVP combining for 13 of the team's 23 points in that time.

The final 10' time began under Fournier's influence . His 6th three-pointer of the night gave him 27 points and extended Olympiacos' lead to 83-69 with 6' remaining. However, Panathinaikos refused to give up, cutting the deficit to 7p. (84-77) two minutes later and then to just 4p. (88-84) with 2:17'' left on the clock.

At that crucial moment, Bartzokas called a timeout, and Thomas Walkup knocked down a huge thriple. One minute before the final buzzer, Ergin Ataman once again inflamed tensions by entering the court and was ejected after receiving two technical fouls.

The game ended with a 102-92 victory for Olympiacos, who protected their home-court advantage and took a 2-1 lead in the Finals series.
