Olympiacos defeated Mykonos 109–83 for the 24th round of the Stoiximan GBL, but Sunday afternoon, April 5, was marked by a series of records.
To reach 109 points, Giorgos Bartzokas’ team made 19 three-pointers, the second-best performance in the club’s history, both in the Greek league and overall.
Olympiacos, against Mykonos, had 19/35 three-pointers with a 54% percentage, while also recording 34 assists, equaling the 5th best performance in its history in the Greek league.
Ntilikina (5/7), Ward (2/5), Peters (1/3), Morris (3/4), Papanikolaou (3/8), Netzipoglou (5/6) scored Olympiacos’ 19 threes.
However, the game against Mykonos was also one that Omiros Netzipoglou will remember for a long time. The 23-year-old guard seized the opportunity and vindicated Giorgos Bartzokas once again. Netzipoglou achieved career highs in points, 3-pointers made, and efficiency rating, as he led the team in all three categories.
Specifically, the international guard had 27 points with 5/6 two-pointers, 5/6 three-pointers, and 2/3 free throws, while he accumulated 31 in the efficiency rating. In fact, he achieved these three personal records in just 21:40'' of playing time, proving once again that he is ready at any moment. At the same time, Omiros Netzipoglou had 4 assists without committing a single turnover in the game.
Both Mykonos coach Vangelis Ziagos and Giorgos Bartzokas praised Omiros Netzipoglou’s performance in the press conference that followed the game.
