Papanikolaou: "It's not a time for talking"

Kostas Papanikolaou is officially an Olympiacos player and in his first statements as a 'red' again, he refrained from saying much: "It's not a time for talking but rather for acting" the 25year old forward said.

The big return is now a fact; 'Pap' is back in Piraeus after two and a half seasons and talked about his first emotions. "It's true that I wanted this to happen. I wanted to come back and I'm happy everything worked out fine at the end".

Leaving Piraeus, the left handed forward left nothing but friends behind, so he's anxious for the big return. "I can't wait to see Vassilis (Spanoulis), Giorgos (Printezis) and Vangelis (Mantzaris) just like many guys from the technical staff with who I share a lot of memories. I'm certain, knowing the guys, that the atmosphere in the team is excellent and I can't wait to come back. The Presidents are always there to do everything for the team. We are all together again".

When 'Pap' was asked whether this 1,5 years in the States he was watching the Olympiacos games, he was completely honest. "Whenever my schedule allowed for it, I was watching. I was learning what the guys were doing and how the team was doing as well. I'm now a part of it and I'm happy for that".

The fans are looking forward to once again see him in the 'red' shirt and he commented: "from the day my cooperation with the Denver Nuggets stopped, I continued practicing. Ok, it's definitely different to train with the rest of the team to practicing by one self, but the only thing I'm focusing right now is to return and start practicing under the guidance of coach Sfairopoulos. Now, it's not a time to talk but rather to act".
