On the day that Stratos Perperoglou celebrated his 28th birthday, he also changed a page in his career and now, as a member of the European and Greek Champions wishes to celebrate new success in his career.

The international forward spoke to Olympiacosbc.gr about this decision to wear the Olympiacos shirt: “Of course it had been a difficult decision to make, but the talk I have had with Vassilis (i.e. Spanoulis) and the coach made it much easier. Everything they told me, led me to the best choice for me. I’m happy to have the deal made official”, the 28 year old forward commented and added: “I needed this change. It has been a tough season, but I have overcome my problem and I’m very willing to work. I have talked to many people about how the team functions and I have only heard the best of comments. Olympiacos has had an incredible season and seems to be working in the right mode”.

About Olympiacos following day: “Just like many guys use to say, it’s very easy to climb to the top but very hard to hold on to it. Everybody will want to beat us this season. No one was looking out for Olympiacos last year and that had been a plus, this will not be the case this year but it’s very important that the roster is basically the same”.

For Stratos Perperoglou, the most important fact is that there are going to be no absentees during pre-season: “For sure it’s a misfortune that the National team did not make the Olympic Games, but it’s very important for us that we are going to be able to work together from the start”, he commented and since the say was on the National team he added: “For sure I would like to return to the National team. But now I want to focus on my duties with Olympiacos, on working hard and becoming better to help my team”.
