Vezenkov on Valencia: «We are stronger together with our fans»

Olympiacos is playing Valencia Tuesday night at the SEF for the 16th round of the EuroLeague and our team wants to get back to winning. Sasha Vezenkov talked to olympiacosbc.gr about the keys to winning the game.

What are your thoughts in view of the game vs Valencia?

«It's a very demanding game. They are a team that plays with lots of energy. I'm not surprised they rank very high in the EuroLeague standing. It's going to take 100% of mental and physical readiness to win. We must solely focus on that because we are going to need lots of energy to come through».

What impresses you the most about Valencia's game this season?

«How fast they play. They kind of resemble last season's Paris, but they play more with their mind. They find plays in the fast-break they find scoring from the opponent's turnovers, they play hard, so we need to be 100%».

What are the things you need to change compared to the game in Barcelona?

«Everything. We definitely must not turn the ball over and give them scoring in the fast-break. We must be tough with our defense, something we haven't been in the last two games».

Do you have a message for the Olympiacos' fans that are going to be at the SEF?

«We expect our fans at the gym, we are stronger together. We know the fans gets disappointed and angry when we lose. We know that even when we don't win, they want us to fight with all we've got and we know that we really disappointed them in Barcelona. We want them by our side and together, we are gointg to give 100% to win the game».
