Larissa, Maroussi and Olympiacos all have one common name: that of Vassilis Spanoulis. The top scorer in Euroleague history has been Andrea’s protege  since a very young age. Besides him Andreas has also worked with the greatest Greek players and many international talents. The latest is Aleksey Pukosevski, who is now playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He worked with him on a daily basis from 2015 since the day he was drafted (No17).

Before his basketball coaching career Andreas was a middle distance runner and a track & field coach.

It was the end of the '30s when the Olympiacos Basketball team was founded with players form the "Ionidio" School. Great personalities of Greek basketball wore the 'red' shirt, coaches wrote history, victories came and Olympiacos played a leading role inside and outside the Greek borders.
