Bartzokas: «We do appreciate this win»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, appeared to be satisfied by the win that gave his team the ticket to the Euroleague final 8.

“It was a real battle, just like we had expected it to be. Zalgiris did not give up when we were leading by 14. We made some stupid mistakes and allowed them to score 3-4 crucial threes which returned them to the game. However, in the final play, we were able to pass the ball where we wanted, to Vezenkov and at the end, we played good defense which did not allow our opponent to score and hence we won. We do appreciate this win, it’s very hard to win in this court. The atmosphere was very difficult for us, just like it is for any opponent. Congratulations and all the best for Zalgiris”
