Bartzokas: «The victory is dedicated to the victims of Gate 7»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, dedicated the wide victory over Alba in Berlin to the victims of Gate 7.

"I would like to thank our fans for coming here to support us. Some came from Greece, others from Germany, anywhere they came from, we thank them for it. It was very important for us to have their support for yet one more time. We do appreciate them. I also want to say that this day had been one of tragedy for our Club. Forty-two years ago, 21 of our team's frans tragically lost their lives. So, we want to dedicate this win to their memory".

Talking about the game, he said: "We controlled the game thanks to our compact defense for three quarters of the game. Especially in the third one, we got to score 28 points and allowed only 10 for Alba. That was decisive. Congratulations to our players, for being serious and focused. I don't underestimate this win. Alba is always making it hard for us in Berlin and in Piraeus also. We easily lost last season and it was important for us to come back here and win. Good luck to Alba".
