Lountzis: «Anything to make our fans happy»

Olympiacos’ players are going to be ‘deleting’ from memory the huge win over Fenerhahce in Istanbul and will be 100% focusing on tomorrow’s (03/02, 20:00 CET) game against Efes, for the 23rd round of the Euroleague.

“We are very happy. We are coming from a very big win, but we need to forget about it”, was what Michalis Lountzis stressed before adding: “We have an equally big and important home game tomorrow, with our fans by our side. So, we forget about Fenerbahce, we are focusing on the game against Efes and getting ready to win it”.

He did an excellent job guarding Scottie Wilbekin in the previous game, while he will be tasked with guarding yet another great guard tomorrow, Sane Larkin. “I’m ready. At least as ready as anyone can be when guarding those two. We are talking about two of the best guards in the competition. It’s a very difficult job. It’s certainly not a job for one player, it’s going to take help and team defense. We are going to come in strong, I’ll be ready and we are hoping for the best”.

Finally, he pointed out the following for the new sold-out: “We are very excited about it. Our fans give us tremendous energy and we are very happy to see so many people by our side, supporting us. The atmosphere in a packed SEF is amazing. We all want to be playing in a full court. We try to do everything each time we play at home to make our fans happy”.
