Christos Pappas: «It wasn't a good game for us»

Due to the ejection of Giorgos Bartzokas, his immediate associate, Chrstos Pappas made statements in the post game.

"Congratulations to Aris, not for tonight's game, but for their overall performance in the League. They are a team that fights for forty minutes in every game. Congratulations to the players, the coaches and everyone around the team. From there on, when we have committed 21 turnovers and the opponent has 16 offensive rebounds, it's an issue of how each one of us approached the game. Our approach was definitely not the appropriate one and the result although indicative of the difference between the two teams, this wasn't a good game for us".

Asked about Alec Peters' injury, he replied: "We don't know anything yet. He will be assessed tomorrow and we'll see".

Aris' coach, Giannis Kastritis, pointed out: "We came here to try our best, given our own level and standards. We had been very upset with our performance against Panathinaikos and wanted to show that we can cope better against opponents of the highest level and all the more, against the best team in Europe, like Olympiacos is right now. We are obviously not naive. We don't ignore the fact that Olympiacos has had a game two days before ours and they have a double Euroleague game week ahead of them. But for us, what we had wanted was to see from our guys the effort they've been putting against any opponent and in every game. We are satisfied, however, we need to rest right now, clear our heads and prepare for a very important and difficult game at home against AEK. Congratulations to Olympiacos for their course in all competitions they participate and I wish them luck, away from accidents. I with health for the members of the Olympiacos' team, as wells as ours".
