Papanikolaou: «With a knife between our teeth»
Kostas Papanikolaou and his team mates are ready for the 5th battle against Monaco (04/05, 20.30 CET) according to his statements.
“We are going to the game 100% with a knife between our teeth! It may sound cliché, however, we are talking about qualifying to the final four. It’s a great opportunity for all of us. It’s a difficult series, very intense, with very strong battles, but right now all of that are thrown out of the window. It’s a life or death game. Although I believe this has been a successful European season for us, right now we have a unique opportunity in front of us and we have to take advantage of it, because you never know when you’re going to get another one like that”.
Asked whether the coaches can surprise the opponent in game five, the ‘reds’ forward replied: “By now, it’s very hard to find new pieces to add to your tactical arsenal. Therefore, strength, the way you start the game and the way you are going to be playing for forty minutes are going to be crucial. We have shown in this court, especially with our fans and the atmosphere they create, that we can bring in immeasurable energy and we all seem to be ready for tomorrow. That’s what I see in our practices”.
