Bartzokas: «I’m proud of my players»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, was content with winning the 3rd game in the series and asked from his players to come out in the same spirit for the Friday game as well!

“It was a very important win for us, especially after the loss in the second game of the series. We came here determined to play our game. Despite facing problems due to the pressure by Monaco for forty minutes and committing turnovers, we managed to win this game. We played as a team on both ends of the floor and it’s a win I really appreciate mainly because I have a lot of respect for Monaco. They are a team that deserves to be here. They never abandoned the game, despite trailing by 15 points. They managed to come back with big and tough shots. They put great mental pressure on us, but I’m really proud of my players, because they remained calm at the end of the game and did the right things to bring in the win. We are now simply leading the series 2-1, I truly believe it’s going to be a very tough one, maybe the toughest right now in the Euroleague. We are going to be playing the Friday game in the same spirit and we’ll see what the future holds for us”.
