Larentzakis: «We want to protect our home court»

Aiming to protect his undefeated home record, Olympiacos will be hosting Villeurbanne tomorrow (17/12), for the 16th day of the Euroleague.

“We want to protect our home”, is what Giannoulis Larentzakis stressed before going on to say: “I think that we have more energy here. Of course our opponents think about it and weight it in. I think that the SEF is the kind of home court where if we get into rhythm and the fans is by our side, it’s very difficult for anyone to change our good momentum. Following last night’s game, our psychology is great in view of tomorrow’s one”.

He said about Villeurbanne: “It’s a different team to Bayern. They are more athletic, they play more with contacts and run the court much more. Each team have their own plan, their own tactics and philosophy and that’s why we need to be adjusting in every game”.

Asked if he’s ready to stop Okobo, he replied: “I don’t know if I’m starting in the game, but when I’m asked to do that, I believe I’ll deliver”.
