Dorsey: «We are ready to go back to winning»

Tyler Dorsey stressed the necessity that the undefeated European home record of the team must be upheld, in view of the game against Bayern (15/12, 20.30 CET), for the 15th round of the Euroleague.

“It’s a big game for us. We are coming from a loss, we are finally at home, and we simply want to protect our home, just like we have been doing up to now. Bayern is coming from a small winning streak, so they are coming with confidence. They are going to be ready, but we are also ready to return to winning and protect our home”.

About assessing the experience of so many back to back road games, the Geek-American guard, he said: “We had to find our rhythm. We lost quite a few road games at first, however we won two back to back games and this gave us confidence and that’s how we need to continue into December and January. We have to win more road games, but we shouldn’t allow home games slip away. We have been playing well at home and we need to continue this way. We cannot relax. Just like I said, Bayern is a hungry team. We need to protect our home and I’m excited that we are finally back and I’ll be playing in front of our fans”.
Asked about what Olympiacos has to change, compared to the last game against Red Star, he replied: “We have to start better, with more energy, so that we don’t struggle then to return to the game. We have to try and build a solid difference… We also have to not relax. For instance, to be thinking that we have won the last two games and become complacent in view of the next one. We should have this things out of our heads, so that we become a really good team and continue ranking high”.

Finally, about his role with the team, he said: “My role is different this season. I have the ball more time in my hands, I play the pick n’ roll more. I have the capability of doing that. I have had it in my game, however, each time, I need to be playing according to role. The opportunities given to me here are different and I can show more things that way. Many teams are going to be including me in their scouting reports. I’ll score if I have the chance, but, I can’t be scoring all the time, so I include my team mates and this makes the game easier for me and them”.
