Bartzokas: "We played a serious game"

Giorgos Bartzokas was satisfied by his players’ performance and the victory over Peristeri.

“In general, we played a serious game. We won in a court that is always a factor in the game. Peristeri is a consistently strong team. This is a home court that does not make it easy for you to play. The atmosphere is quite good. We managed the minutes and the intensity of the game as we should have. We dished a lot of assists and scored with 45% in threes. Hence we had good balance in scoring inside and outside the paint and we won easily. Congratulations to the players”.

The ‘reds’ coach did not forget to extend his wishes to Peristeri for the 50 year anniversary from the club’s foundation. “I would like to wish them an even higher turnout… To wish for another 50, another 100 years for the club. They are a very important piece of Greek basketball and I’m saying this from the bottom of my heart, I wish Peristeri the best”.

Asked about the return of Hassan Martin to action, as well as about the absence of Moustapha Fall (injury), he replied: “Hassan had been able to play against Monaco also, but he had only participated in 2 – 3 practices. It wasn’t a matter of injury that prevented him from playing, but rather of readiness. Fall has suffered a minor sprain. Maybe, if the situation demanded for it, he would have played tonight, so it’s not something to worry about”.
