McKissic: «Our fans is our biggest weapon»

With the support of the fans and by staying focused on defense, Olympiacos will be able, according to Shaquielle McKissic, to get victory in tomorrow’s (05/11, 20.00 CET) game against Monaco.

“The most important thing is to protect the ball. To play hard defense. They have very good guards, athletic big players and they are in a good path, just like we do, so it’s going to be a good, hard and competitive game”, the American player for the ‘reds’ pointed out.

And he went on to say: “We can adapt to their game, although we are going to try and make them play our game, which means we are going to try and lower the tempo so that they don’t get to run the fast-break”.
About Mike James and whether the key to the victory is going to be for Olympiacos to contain him, he commented: “They have many good players. There a lot that can come in ‘hot’ and become a nightmare to us. James is definitely a key, but if he scores his usual numbers and we win, it’s not going to be the end of the world…”

Finally, he stressed the importance of the mass presence of the ‘reds’ fans at the SEF. “Our fans are going to be our biggest weapon. We are undefeated at home and as long as the fans come to support us, we are going to be perfectly fine”.
