Bartzokas: «I don’t underestimate any win»

The Olympiacos coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, stressed following the victory against Iraklis at ovetime, that what the team needs to hold on to is the win.

“It was a good game for the fans. A nice atmosphere with great intensity by the fans, that ‘pushed’ Iraklis to play much better than how they were playing up to now. I think that in terms of structure, combativeness as well as percentages – we had a mere 30% with open threes – we did not do well. We gave Iraklis the right the remain in the game and scoring those two threes at the end to have the game decided at overtime. I don’t  underestimate any win. It’s a very important victory for us. Anyone can see what happens with the National League games following demanding Euroleague ones. I don’t want to complain about my players. They did not play well, but they came to Thessaloniki at 6 in the morning yesterday without having slept at all. This victory is very important and we need to hold on to it”.

The ‘reds’ will be returning to their home base tonight (24/10), but they have no time to wind down, since they have a double Euroleague game week ahead.
