Sfairopoulos: «Cedevita is a tough team»

Olympiacos plays Cedevita in Zagreb for the second round premiere of the Euroleague Regular Season. Giannis Sfairopoulos and Vangelis Mantzaris addressed the Greek Champions' game of tomorrow against the Croatians (19/11, 19:00 CET).

The Greek coach stressed that "Cedevita is different than it was in the beginning. They have six wins in a row, three for the Euroleague and three for the Adriatic League, they have a good momentum, they are in rhythm, and they have a total of 9-10 players that play well together. They have a small rotation; they have specific roles and have found their pace. Their recent results are not random. Cedevita is a tough team and we need to stay focused to succeed our goal. I don't know how much we are going to miss our injured players, Spanoulis and Printezis don't suffer serious injuries, but they are enough to keep them off court for some time. Just I have said before, we have a very good roster, a full one and players that are capable to fight all odds. Our players are ready and those that are going to travel are ready to help. We have a tough mission ahead of us and we are going to give it all to win".

On his part, Vangelis Mantzaris said that "it's definitely going to be a different game compared to the one of the first round. Cedevita has run a good streak lately. Patrick (Young) will unfortunately be away for a long time, I feel for him since I have had a similar injury. I wish him a speedy recovery and a quick return to the team. Vassilis (Spanoulis) and Giorgos (Printezis) are also going to be missing. However, no matter how many absentees, we are Olympiacos and we are going to get the victory. We operate as a family as always and that's what we need to do right now. We all have to give something more to cover for those who cannot play".
