Olympiacos' presentation in view of the new season
The official presentation of Olympiacos along with a planned media day was held Tuesday afternoon (29/9) at the central hall of the Peace and Friendship Stadium. The team Presidents, Giorgos and Panagiotis Angelopoulos were the first one to address the media, as did the coach of the Greek champions, Giannis Sfairopoulos.

P. ANGELOPOULOS: «I wish to welcome you all and thank you for your presence. I believe that despite capital controls and such, we have built one of the strongest rosters in our years with Olympiacos. We have worked with coach Sfairopoulos to cover for any player that has left and fix other weaknesses. We want to keep succeeding, although everyone should understand that this is not easy. We live in the 'Memorandums Greece', yet we have built a team that makes history. Wish you all a great season and health above all else".
G. ANGELOPOULOS: «Thank you all for being here today. As we have said, Olympiacos has succeeded being the best European team during these past seven years, but this achivement becomes even greater given our country's financial situation. Last year we were almost perfect, we almost had the dream come true, but no one can say we did not succeed. Our goals always remain large, but sometimes they get mixed up with the dreams, because we also dream like the fans. There are goals and there are dreams".
G. SFAIROPOULOS: «Thank you all for being here. It's a new season that officially starts today. This year is going to be tougher in regard to the one. This is because being the Euroleague finalists and the Greek Champions; we are going to face even more teams that are going to want to antagonize us. That's why we have also started preparing mentally apart from physically in order to try and cope with the demands of all the competitions we participate this season. We have built a very high level roster in collaboration with the administration that I want to sincerely thank. The most important thing is to work and be a team on the floor, because we have many new additions as well as internationals that are only being incorporated now. We have been working as a team these past few days having our entire roster at our disposal. I wish everyone a good season, a healthy one, a season that will be equal or even better than the last one".
