Kyle Hines is no rookie on the mountains of Evritania. The American center took part in last year’s “red” pre-season camp and was very well aware of what was there for him and his team mates at Karpenisi. However, this year things are different, since the coach has the whole roster to work with…

“Everything is going fine up to now, we have been working hard and we are getting better every day. Olympiacos has had the luxury to see most of the players remaining with the club and we practically continue from where we left off last year. We have been working with the new coach and we are all together trying to build the philosophy of the team for the new season” Kyle Hines commented for Olympiacosbc.gr.

The American had a mini break from hard training to share his thoughts with us: “Last season had been a new experience for all of us, but things are different now. We have succeeded a lot and we want to do the same. We want to do play better than last season. This is our goal. Everyone is expecting a lot from us, but we expect more from ourselves. We have spent one year together and we now know one another very well, on and off court. We are a company and it’s much easier working together. This is our big weapon”.

Hines also spoke about the team goals for the new season: “We want to make the Euroleague Final Four and everything is open from that point on and we want to win the League and the Cup in Greece. I hear many say that things are going to be easier for us in Greece because Panathinaikos has changed. I say the contrary. Things are going to be tougher, because Panathinaikos has built a new team that is hungry to prove itself. That’s why we need to be better than last season”.
