Olympiacos faces Besiktas on Thursday (28/2, 20:00) in Istanbul for the 9th day of the Euroleague and Giorgos Bartzokas stresses that the game against the Turkish team is not going to be an easy one.

GIORGOS BARTZOKAS: “A game for this competition and especially a road game for the TOP-16 is never easy. The teams that have a 0-8 record in the group right now are Besiktas and Bamberg, but I don’t think there is any team in the TOP-16 that one can claim it’s going to be easy to beat them in their own court. We are going to have to try hard to make it. It’s feasible to be second in the group if we are efficient in our games and if we win the most we can till the end of course the one in Siena. However, this is very far away from what we’ve been thinking right now. We only have Besiktas ahead of us and this is the game we are focusing on now. We are in the right path, we have four consecutive victories for the Euroleague and we are now focusing on Besiktas and nowhere else. It’s not a final, but we certainly want the victory”.

STRATOS PERPEROGLOU: “Our goal is to qualify and reach the highest possible place in the group, so we are going either after the first or the second place. The game against Besiktas is not going to be easy. We have to remain focused and strong and we have to do the same in the games against Barcelona and Siena as well, if we want to aim high. But we are now thinking only about Besiktas and the game there. We have to run the open court, it may sound weird being an away game, but we have to impose our rhythm and run the fast break. We want to find easy baskets and get points through fast breaks so as to reach victory”.
