Vassilis Spanoulis will be presented with the International Giuseppe Sciacca in Greece
The basketball player of Olympiacos and the National team of Greece, Vassilis Spanoulis, International winner in the Sports category for young people up to 35 years of age, of the Giuseppe Sciacca International Awards situated in the Vatican city, will be presented with his award in our country, on Thursday, November 28, 2013 in the Peace and Friendship stadium, before the jump ball of the game between Olympiacos and Galatasaray.
The presentation of the award will be made by the internationally acclaimed Greek film director Giannis Smaragdis (Member of the Presiding Committee) and the Greek Secretary General, Archaeologist – Communications Specialist, Vicky Bafataki with a Global Award in Communications (2005), in the presence of the President of the International Giuseppe Sciacca Awards, Reverent – University Professor Bruno Lima and the representative of the Presidency Youth section, Fabrizio Marsili.
The decision was taken in exception to the general rules, thus giving the chance for the athlete to be honored in his home country, the country that has brought the sporting ideal of “fair play” into life.
After the end of the game there is going to be a Press Conference at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, by the Awards Presidency, Vassilis Spanoulis and Christos Stavropoulos, General Director of Olympiacos.
