The game against Unicaja Malaga is of historical significance since Olympiacos is writing 500 Euroleague and Champions Cup games. On November 23, 1960 the 'reds' played for the first time in a European competition and all the more for the Champions Cup Winners' Cup.

In Istanbul, against Galatasarau (lost 72-41), Olympiacos plays a European game for the first time and 55 years later completes 500 games, thousands of moments and innumerable feelings.  

HONOR to the LEGENDS

By means of the completion of 500 games for the top European Club's competition, Olympiacos BC will be honoring six LEGENDS of Olympiacos. During the game against Unicaja Malaga, Alekos Spanoudakis, Thodoros Vamvakousis, Vassilis Fassilis, Manolis Kazanidis and Giannis Meimaris who had played for the first European game of Olympiacos in Istanbul will be honored together with Thymios Filippou, a member of the first historical teams of Olympiacos and immediate associate of Faidon Mathaiou and Kostas Mourouzis during the '70s.

The collectible 500 games t-shirts


At the same time, the Official Olympiacos BC Store will be launching a unique t-shirt dedicated to this historical moment. A t-shirt dedicated to Legendary players that have worn and honored the shirt with the laurel bearing teen on the chest. The five names in the photo are indicative of the legendary t-shirts that will be presented at the Olympiacos BC boutique in the Peace and Friendship Stadium and on Karaoli & Dimitriou 8 street.
