“The most players who play in Europe dream about playing for the NBA at some point. From the moment I went to Turkey, I was aiming to play at some point for Olympiacos and I’m happy to have made it. I have always watched the team’s organization and its progress and when I joined Maroussi last season I believed that I would be taking this big step in my career next the following summer. I’m really proud to be a member of Olympiacos”, the 26year old guard said.

Lucas knows that his role will be different in Piraeus: “I have come to win. If, in order to do so, I have to play defense, steal balls, pass assists, or score, it makes no difference to me. Whatever the coach wants from me, he will get”, he stressed and added: “There have been numerous changes in the team but I don’t think that there have been substantial change. I believe that a team is formed on the floor and during the season and not in the summer during the signings. I know most of the Olympiacos guys personally and I think the new guys on the team will get accustomed to everything much easier thanks to the veterans”.
