Giorgos Bartzokas decided to rest Vassilis Spanoulis, Mat Lojeski, Brent Petway and Bryant Dunston splitting equally the playing time amongst all players. The Reds have Thursday afternoon off (18/9), while the team returns on Friday (19/9) at 14:00 in Athens. On Monday morning (22/9), the team leaves for Istanbul to take part in the "Gloria Cup".

Three minutes in, with the score tied up at 6, Olympiacos put its feet on the gas pedal and with a 9-2 run got an early 15-8 lead. Consecutive threes from Lafayette and Sloukas, along with points from Hunter and Printezis from inside the paint made the score 26-13 after 1Q, with our team in front.

In the second quarter, Olympiacos kept going on with the same pace. At the 14' mark, the score was 35-21, with the margin being at the highest mark yet. Kavadas, Agravanis, Christodoulou and Katsivelis were the next players to shoulder the scoring load for Olympiacos, making the game 43-29 in 18'. The half ended 44-36 with the Italian team closing the gap.

Again, Olympiacos only needed 3 minutes to raise the margin back to double digits (53-39 in 23'). Later on, the Reds were dominant on both ends of the floor, with Giorgos Bartzokas' team finishing the third quarter up by 21 (72-51).

With a Vangelis Mantzaris triple, the score became 75-53 in 32'. The margin kept hovering above 20 points and with Kavadas and Mantzaris giving offensive help, the score became 82-57, five minutes before the end of the game. Finally, our team won 90-61, defeating all the competition in the friendly games in Italy.
