Bartzokas: “New givens, but we are going to fight for victory”
Giorgos Bartzokas spoke about the new situation shaped following the punishment of Begic and Printezis and explained that Olympiacos is going to Munich to win despite absences.
GIORGOS BARTZOKAS: “A new situation has been shaped following last night’s events and the punishment of the players. For us, it’s good we are going to have Kavvadas with us and expect him to offer some quality minutes in the game against Bayern. We are concerned about the extra burden on 2- 3 players that have left to play these certain positions and this is an issue for us. I told you that new givens shape a new reality that we don’t know how is going to play out. Bayern wants the victory badly, it’s definitely going to be a competitive game and we are going to do the best we can to win it”.
VASSILIS KAVVADAS: “It’s been a little while since I’m on the team, I’ve been working hard, I try to get incorporated in the team as fast as possible and to help with whatever my coach is asking from me. It’s the highest level in Europe, it’s a great honor to be wearing the Olympiacos shirt and I’ll do the best I can”.
VANGELIS MANTZARIS: “Fortunately we don’t have a problem in the perimeter. I think we’ll find the solution. Vassilis is going to play and we’ll try to fit him into the team sooner than later, he’ll help us and we’ll help him fit in faster and smoother. Mathematically we have the top spot, but we don’t relax. We are going to Munich to win. No matter where Olympiacos goes, we go to win. We need to remain focused for 40 minutes and we are going for the victory”.
