Mavroeidis: We are first and we need to remain first
Dimitris Mavroeidis participates in his first “red” preseason camp, although things are not new to him, since he has been a partner in the National team with most of his Olympiacos team mates.

“We use to say that the beginning is half of all and this becomes sports completely, so that’s why what have been doing these days is very important. We have been working at very high tempo and the most important thing, with no problems whatsoever. The advantage with Olympiacos is that although I and Stratos are rookies with the team, we don’t feel this as something new for us and should anyone watch the team, they would think that we are not at the beginning but rather coming back from a time out” the … doctor commented and added: “We have found chemistry and it’s much easier assimilating anything new the coach wants from us. The most important thing is the atmosphere within the tem. I read about it, everyone was saying that Olympiacos great weapon is the excellent atmosphere in the team and now I’m experiencing it. As for the goals of the team: “We don’t have to say what the goals are. Reaching the top at all levels and in order to reach the top you need to work hard and sweat it a lot. Olympiacos is not the outsider anymore and we all know that very well. There is a long season ahead of us and the most important thing for me is to have it roll without any injuries. Just like it has begun”, Dimitris Mavroeidis pointed out and added: “Everybody will want to beat us. We are aware of that, just like we know that no one is going to give us anything for free. I completely agree with guys saying that Panathinaikos is going to be even more dangerous this season. We know that and at no case we feel comforted by winning the League last season. We are the first team and we need to remain the first team and this takes sacrifice”.
