Joey Dorsey talks about the shuttered backboard (Video)
It wasn’t the first time Joey Dorsey smashed a backboard attempting a dunk. It was actually the fourth time he’d done it. The huge American center spoke to Olympiacosbc.gr about it and how he was challenged by his team mates.
“It’s the first time a smashed a backboard playing professional basketball, but I had done it four more times in the past. Some guys in the bench kept telling me that I only talk about something like this but… I could have smashed the backboard at Karpenisi as well. The coach put me in the game in the last three minutes, Papanikolaou gave me the ball and I put everything I had trying to smash it”, said the American, who quite sometime after the game went back on court to inspect his … achievement and get photographed with dozens of young Italians who waited for him.
“I feel great. It pleased the fans, they all went crazy and the game ended two minutes early” Dorsey said laughing.
