Bartzokas: «A very important win for us»

Olympiacos came out victorius from Virtus' home court in Bologna and Giorgos Bartzokas made the following statements in the Press Conference that followed the important win. 

 

Olympiacos' coach said during his initial statement: "Merry Christmas to everyone! It was an amazing game. I had formed a notion about Virtus' quality before the game through the scouting reports, about their physicality, their level of athleticism and the right roles they all fulfill, but I'm even more certain about all of that now. They have a very good team. They came back from trailing 20 points; they showed character. They made big shots at the end of the clock, about 12 points at the buzzer. We got the win at the end, so congratulations to our players and our fans that support us everywhere. This was indeed a very important game and a crucial win for us". 

 

He was then asked about Dorsey's consistency and he replied: "It's a huge advantage for us, having a player that is such a huge threat offesnively and he gets to score more than 20 poitns in crucial games, like he did tonight. But at the same time, he shows to be willing to play well in collaboration with his teammates and to pass correctly to the right player which is huge for us. 

 

As you can see, we have the talent, we have the team and we simply must work togetehr. Ward and McKissic will return tot he roster and when Monte Morris is ready to play our philosophy, I believe we are going to be very dangerous for any team. Tyler has really improved this season and has been playing amazing".
