Bartzokas: «It was a big win. We keep going...» (vid)

Our team's coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, mainly talked about the importance of the win against Virtus, that came through a lot of adversity.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate Virtus for a very mature game. They have very experienced guards that know how to move away from the ball and create their own shots. They of course have Shengelia as well who knows very well how to be both a creator and a scorer from the post. What they have achieved up to now is not a product of random luck. That's why I think our team's win as very important, especially under these circumstances, without Thomas Walkup, with Nigel Williams-Goss returning after a month-long absence and with only one practice session, with Naz with half a practice session, not even a whole one and with Larentzakis being out. So, it's not how you line-up for the game, but how you prepare for it. What kind of practice you have had. We were hesitant in the first half. We weren't decisive enough, especially in defense, where everyone had to do something more to cover for the absence of our best defensive player. We did not manage in the first half, but we did it extraordinarily well in the third quarter, with our opponent scoring a mere 5 points. During that time, we scored 20 and completely changed the outlook of the game. We made a lot of turnovers and have had only a few assists in the first half, but we completely changed that next. Congratulations to our team, the players, the fans. It was a big win. We keep going..."
