Bartzokas: «It's very important that we did not have a hard time winning under adversity»

The coach of Olympiacos, Giorgos Bartzokas, gave due credit where it was due following the win against Peristeri.

"Congratulations to my team. Under adversity, against the third-ranking team of the Basket League, we won by a twenty-point margin and had reached a point where we were winning by thirty points. We played without three core guards and lost Walkup early in the game. He only played 8 minutes. Therefore, I want to congratulate my players. They were serious, although our performance had ups and downs on both ends of the floor, we had some void periods and nevertheless, our dynamic was still obvious. We have a very critical game on Thursday, we have two very critical games coming up I should say. The fact that we won without feeling too much pressure and under these circumstances is very important. All the best to Peristeri".

Asked about the situation with Thomas Walkup, he replied: "He will be evaluated tomorrow morning. You can see how bad the swelling is following a sprain only the next day. He's going to have an MRI and I hope it's nothing serious".
