«Tough and competitive, as always»

Olympiacos will be facing off against Real in Madrid tomorrow (25/01, 20.45 CET), for the 23rd round of the Euroleague.

The 'red & whites' line-up will not include the injured Moustapha Fall and Nikola Milutinov, while Nigel Williams-Goss is also doubtful to play (tight bicep).

"The opponent is a very, very difficult one", our team's coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, said in his initial statement. "We also must see how we are doing, who we are, what the re-adjusting we need to be doing is in which aspects of our game, so that we are competitive. This is important. We are minus two centers and we don't know if Goss can play. We have to see how we are doing, what plays we must play on both ends of the court in order to contest for the win. Some players will be getting more minutes, others will play in different positions... But we are going to try to be tough and competitive, as always".

On his part, Luke Sikma pointed out: "I believe that more than anything else, we must play we confidence and as a team. Trying to win in Madrid is difficult. They are very strong, especially at home. But, we must play hard and be competitive. We must be totally focused to make it". Asked if he feels ready for the said game, he replied: "I'm always ready".
