Bartzokas: «Greek basketball has upped its level»

Giorgos Bartzokas said the fact that Kolossos gave his team a hard time for a long period in the game was due to fatigue and lack of energy.

"Greek basketball has tremendously leveled up. From the first to the last ranking place, the teams compete, play hard, have good coaches and get re-enforced with new players. Right now, Kolossos has Perrantes, a very good facilitator, Goudelock at '2', but also more players that know how to do their job and they also have a good coach, who made it hard for us for twenty minutes. They played very hard, fouling a lot, not allowing us to score easy buckets. Finally our dominance of rebounding, we grabbed a total of 46, was what gave us the win. When we moved the ball correctly, we made some shots that we needed to make, because we missed a lot of open threes in the first half with good shooters. We also had about 30% with 2-pointers in the paing. It was only natural that Kolossos, being a good team, had the chance to challenge the win. We finally built a big margin, because we were forced to give a lot of players more minutes than we would have liked. Unfortunately, Petrusev's and Fall's injuries did not allow for a wider rotation. I also have to say that we had played 6 games in 2 weeks, including a trip to Spain. You can understand that both motivation and energy are lesser when we are talking about Basket League games. Congrats to Kolossos, I wish them the best".
