Bartzokas and Canaan on the game with Alba

Olympiacos traveled to Berlin for tomorrow's game against Alba (29/12, 20.00 CET), for the 17th round of the Euroleague.

"We have to concentrate on the demands of this game that are similar to those of the game against Villeurbanne", was what the coach of the 'red & whites', Giorgos Bartzokas stressed. "It's a game that can be a problem if you lose it, but to win it, it's going to take a lot of effort and a good performance. Last week proved that Alba can win games. Their injured players have recovered and are back, Matt Thomas is back, Sterling Brown is back. They are a good team and it's going to take a good game to beat them".

He went on to say that: "The Euroleague is a competition that you can underestimate no one. The same thing happened with Alba last year also, they made some very important victories towards the end of the year. We must respect their coach and the way they play. They have champions amongst them. They've been playing a certain way for years now. They are top team with steals, so we must not allow them easy scoring in the transition. Anyway, we must play our game and remain serious in a demanding game".

On his part, Isaiah Canaan pointed out that: "Some times, games like this one can become traps. We don't want to fall in it. We understand that we have a difficult game ahead of us. We must do what we need to do and we'll be ok".
