Bartzokas: «We played our worst game in the last three years» (vid)

Olympiacos was far removed from his standards and lost to Valencia at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

"Congratulations to Valencia", the 'red & whites' coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, initially said before continuing with the following: "We played one of our worst games in the last three years, any way one might look at it. We practically paid the cost for our second quarter performance. Whoever played the game was completely off our game plan. We made 9 turnovers in the first half, we only dished two assists in the second quarter, we were hasty in our efforts to score. Despite having a clear plan about how we should be playing against Valencia,  a team that allows the less points possible in the paint. Instead of 'reading' that and look for the extra pass, we went to pull-ups and floaters and finally, our percentage with 2-pointers was close to 40%. We did not deserve to win. When we finally succeeded in turning the game around in the 4th quarter, it was hard to win. It's hard to do that if you miss 6 or 7 lay-ups, unobstructed and under the rim. We missed 7 free throws and many open shots. We must work to get better".
