Bartzokas: «It's not going to be easy, at all»

Tomorrow's (15/12, 20.15 CET) game against Valencia is, according to coach Giorgos Bartzokas, one that his team must absolutely win. However, he stressed that the 'red & whites' mission is not going to be an easy one...

"They are team that defensively is right now the best in Europe in terms of points per possession. In terms of the points they allow to the opponent. They are a team that chooses a variety of defensive systems, but heavily relies on the athleticism of their big players. Davies and Inglis can change during the screens and guard perimeter players. We have a plan for playing them. They are a team that is in good shape, they have a good roster and of course it's going to be a difficult game for us. They play on the road, and we must win, but it's not going to be easy, at all".

On how he felt that during Wednesday practice (13/12) he had his full roster available for the first time, he said: "I'm truly happy. I think that it was the first practice we were all together. Of course, not everyone is at the same level. There are some that are just starting again now, but the quality of practice and competitiveness has risen. I think that if we keep up with it, we will see improvement very soon".

  • Alec Peters and Shaquielle McKissic did not practice today (14/12) for personal reasons, but are going to be available for the game tomorrow.
