Bartzokas: «We missed a great opportunity»

Our team's coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, talked about a missed opportunity for Olympiacos to leave Monaco with a win in their luggage.

"It was a tough game, just like we expected it to be. I think that we more or less had a great opportunity to win. We should have simply avoided three basic things. One is that we should have protected the ball more. We made mistakes in critical moments of the game, that gave Monaco the chance to strike in the transition. Also, offensive rebounds. We gave thirteen second chances and that truly hurt us. We should have done a better job at boxing out, at grabbing defensive boards and trying to control the tempo through that. The score was tied up until the end. We missed two free throws in crucial moments of the game, while James' pull-up jumper, just like the triple from the side line, decided the game. We should have controlled the game differently at the end. But, it's always hard to play here. Congratulations to Monaco, I wish them good luck".
