Swept their way to the semis!

Olympiacos bested Aris in Thessaloniki 82-58, and with 2-0 wins got the ticket to the semis of the Basket League, where they will be facing off with the winner of the PAOK - Promitheas series.

Despite their bad percentages from the free throw line (3/8), but also from the three-point one (1/7), our team succeeded, thanks to its good defensive game and having Sasha Vezenkov leading the offence, to impose the rhythm (7-17) and close the first quarter at +9 (9-18). Relying on the group game, but also on the great offensive evening Giannoulis Larentzakis was having, Olympiacos - without even really stepping up - furthered the distance to 16p. (21-37 at 17') and closed the first half with a 15p. lead at hand (27-42).

The outlook did not change in the second half. The 'red & whites' maintained complete control and thanks to Vezenkov, who remained in constant connection to the basket, they found themselves at +25 (33-58 at 28'). With two back-to-back threes by Larentzakis and Peters, Olympiacos went to +26 (43-69 at 33'), while, despite the tempo slowing down later on, the distance remained chaotically side to the end.

The quarters: 9-18, 27-42, 41-60, 58-82.
