Olympiacos dismantles Bayern!

Olympiacos dismantled Bayern at the SEF 102-74 for the 28th round of the Euroleague and remained at the top of the ranking board.

With superb defence and good long range percentages, the ‘red & whites’ made clear from the start who the ‘boss’ was. They were leading 15-0 at 3’ and closed the 1st quarter at +14 (26-12). The German team tried to contain the margin (16-17 at 11’), however, Peters, McKissic and Lalentzakis opened fire from the three point line and sent the lead to 18p. (40-22). They did not stop there… With Kostas Sloukas orchestrating a terrific game and contributing with scoring, our team got to lead with 25 (55-35) at 20’.

With Isaiah Canaan running point, our team got to +22 (66-44) at 24’, but it suddenly deflated. Nothing was working right on either end of the floor for about two minutes, resulting in a partial 11-0 for the guests (66-55 at 26’). But that was that… Walkup with Vezenkov at first and Larentzakis with McKissic later on got to consistently score mainly from the perimeter and restored order once and for all (102-69 at 38’).

* Kostas Sloukas experienced a tight calf muscle and did not play in the second half.

The quarters: 26-12, 55-35, 81-65, 102-74.
