Invincible!

Olympiacos ‘demolished’ AEK at the SEF 111-71, for the 11th day of the Basket League and maintained their domestic invincible record.

In the first quarter, the ‘red & whites’ displayed excellent operation in offense, but in defense… AEK, that was dominating rebounding (3-7), did not allow our team to set the tempo and the end of the first quarter found Olympiacos at +4 (31-27). However, everything changed from 13’ and after… Bartzokas’ players put pressure in the defense, led the guests to turnovers and poor decisions in the offense, got to strike from the perimeter with Kostas Sloukas and Giannoulis Larentzakis and skyrocketed the difference to +22 (60-38 at 20’).

The game appeared to be decided very early on, however, this did not stop the ‘red & whites’ from continuing with the foot stepping down hard on the gas pedal… With good defense and Isaiah Canaan and Sasha Vezenkov scoring at will, the difference reached +34 (85-51) at 28’. But they didn’t step on the break then either. They continued firing from the three-point line taking the difference up to 40p. (105-65) at 38’. The final 111-71 was written – also with a three – by Giannoulis Larentzakis.

The quarters: 31-27,  60-38, 88-58, 111-71.
