The 4th quarter cost Olympiacos the win

Olympiacos controlled the game in Istanbul for almost three quarters, however, he did not succeed in securing the win. The 'red & whites' lost to Anadolu Efes 82 - 71, for the 11th round of the Euroleague.

The guests made an impressive start and got to lead 10 - 0 at only the 3rd minute. Efes tried to reverse the course of the game striking initially from the distance, first with Clyburn and then with Beaubois (13 - 18 at 10' and 21 - 25 at 13'). Sloukas and Larentzakis offered valuable offensive solutions upon coming on the floor and had a major impact so as for Olympiacos to get to +11 for the first time in the game (25 - 36) at 15'. The hosts once again came close to 4p. (33 - 37), but running a 4 - 0 partial with Kostas Sloukas, our team got to close the first half at + 8 (33 - 41).

With Moustapha Fall dominating inside the post, the 'red & whites' were at +10 (35 - 45). However, they weren't able to keep reigning the game. They paid for their mistakes and poor percentages and saw Beaubois and Clyburn taking  center stage from the 6.75m. arc giving Efes the lead (56 - 53 at 31'). When Misic entered the offensive equation though, the Turskish team widened the distance at 8p. (67 - 59 at 35'). Our team tried to reverse the situation, but the home team continued making big shots (at the buzzer) and sealed the win.
