Fenerbahce - Οlympiacos 79-93

Olympiacos bested Fenerbahce 93-79 and is coming back to Greece with 2/2 road wins.

 Relying on perimeter good percentages, the Turkish team got to lead 28-24 at 11’, however, the ‘red & white’ did not allow them to put distance between them. On the contrary, they saw to give their reply the same way. Thomas Walkup opened fire from the three point line and together with Alec Peters, they turned the game around running a partial 10-0 (28-34 at 14’). Olympiacos put even more pressure in defense and with Iosif Koloveros and Joel Bolomboy taking center stage, they sent the difference to +11 (36-47 at 19’). Finally, Bartzokas’ team went to the locker rooms leading by 9 (40-49, at 20’).  

In the second half, the ‘red& white’ upped their tempo in defense, put a lot of pressure on Fenerbahce and with Alec Peters spearheading the offense, they opened up the margin to 17 points (55-72 at 30’). With George Papas consistently in touch with the basket, Olympiacos got to lead even with +22 (55-77). Fenerbahce tried to return to the game with long distance shots (69-84 at 34’), but our team once again bet on its defense, ‘struck’ from the three point line with Bolomboy and Peters, regained complete control (69-89) and got an easy win.
