WE ARE THE GREEK CHAMPIONS!!!

Olympiacos bested Panathinaikos 93-74, ‘sweeping’ the finals series 3-0 and has been deservingly crowned the Greek Champion!!!

The beginning for our team was quite jittery, resulting for us trailing 8-12 at 4’. With good defense and Tyler Dorsey running point in the offense, Olympiacos turned the tables and got to lead by 6 (28-22 at 9’), however, Papagiannis took advantage of his superiority in the post and helped his team once again get ahead (32-35 at 13’). That time though was the also the last one the guests found themselves in the driver’s seat! With superb defense, Livio Jean-Charles doing an excellent job under the rims and Sasha Vevenkov and Kostas Sloukas offering on offensive recital, our team claimed complete control and sent the difference sky-high at 17p. (55-38 at 19’).  

The end of the first half found Olympiacos at +15 (55-40), while with Sasha Vezenkov executing, they saw that the margin got even wider (+19, 63-44 at 25’). However, Bartzokas’ players suddenly took slowed down, remained scoreless for five minutes and saw Panathinaikos closing in to 10p. (63-53) at 30’. But that was that… Kostas Sloukas opened fire from the 6.75m., and together with Shaquielle McKissic, they blew up the difference to 17p. (73-56 at 33’). From there on, everything was simple… Olympiacos with good defense and good decisions in the offense got to get even further away from his opponent (23p., 87-64 at 37’) and got an easy victory!
